on his first school trip. He wasn’t sure
if he wanted to at first but he’s been learning
about being brave in class.
The goat is night sky black.
It’s floppy in the heat of summer
and the noise of confused uniforms
but it’s been learning about
just getting on with things.
Erling Haaland thinks he likes
the goat’s sloppy tongue
lifting brown pellets off his hand
and the goat headbutts a wall.
